10:00 - 10:40

The talk will introduce some of the areas that are challenging to measure on Metallic Additive Manufacturing (AM), which make it hard to validate parts for end use. Some examples from work NPL has undertaken will be given.

An overview of the international AM standards landscape will be given and the types of accreditation companies making AM parts are obtaining to demonstrate quality. A brief introduction to the Innovate UK DRAMA project and the Industrial AM support material that it is generating will also be included to help those wanting to find out more.

4 THINGS YOU WILL LEARN DURING THIS SESSION:
1. Measurement challenges in metallic Additive Manufacturing
2. Current International Additive Manufacturing standards activity
3. Measurement activity at NPL around Additive Manufacturing
4. Overview of Innovate UK DRAMA project
