Spring Is In The Air and These Folks Can Measure It

Based in West Bromwich, the Adwin Spring Company has a worldwide reputation for excellence in spring manufacture, using both wire and flat section material. It is one of just a few businesses in the field that offers spring prototyping and short-run production facilities, and rapid growth in this short-lead time work has recently led to an upgrading of its in-process precision measurement systems.

With increased demand to meet, the need to boost both the speed and accuracy of measurement in the Adwin manufacturing processes resulted in Make Measurement Matter exhibitor OGP UK supplying the ideal solution with one of its latest innovations in non-contact measuring devices, the Flash CNC300 machine (pictured).

This multi-sensor measuring and calibration unit uses a combination of high quality auto-calibrating camera technology with associated touch probes, micro probes and laser technology to deliver highly accurate data quickly, reliably and automatically on even the most complex parts being produced. This machine, and many others in the wider OGP range, can be discussed on the OGP stand at Make Measurement Matter on March 12th.

Make Measurement Matter is backed by the GTMA and showcases the latest advances in metrology and measurement excellence for manufacturing industry. This one-day opportunity provides senior engineers with a platform to meet and talk with some of the most experienced metrology and measurement technologists and application experts in the country.
