Small Run Injection Moulding at Engineering Materials Live

For OEMs that have identified a need for injection moulding but are deterred by the cost of producing the necessary tooling, Banbury-based Plastic Parts Direct may have the ideal solution. And it can be found at the Engineering Materials Live event on March 12th.

As part of an ongoing investment programme, Plastic Parts Direct can now 3D print the required tooling for suitable low-volume parts, and for those parts that might not be compatible with this process, it also offers a Rapid Aluminium tooling service. This has the added advantage of lasting for many years in the event that repeat work is required. Both these processes utilise the company’s own universal mould bases, so customers need only purchase the cavity plates, thus saving considerable sums over the ‘conventional’ purchase of full tools. In addition to this new facility, Plastic Parts Direct offers a variety of other services to cost-conscious OEMs. Included amongst these are prototyping using FDM and SLA. All this and more can be discussed on the Plastic Parts Direct stand at the forthcoming Engineering Materials Live event on March 12th.

Engineering Materials Live is the UK’s only dedicated one-day advanced materials exhibition, and offers visitors a unique opportunity to meet and talk with some of the most experienced technologists and application experts in the country.
