PCB Live Exhibitor Offers Solutions to Miniaturisation in Manufacturing

JTAG Technologies has just announced the release of a complete new edition of its PCB Test Developer software, known as JTAG ProVision 2020. The new release can be seen and discussed on the JTAG stand at PCB Live on 12th March. Working from customer feedback and utilising the expertise of its design team, JTAG says it has “Further simplified the processes for testing modern PCB assemblies fitted with miniature components in highly integrated packages”. The updated software “Includes many novel features to create a faster, more versatile system to help address the needs of test and design engineers through the next decade and beyond”.

JTAG ProVision 2020 is an all-encompassing PCB test and device programming development tool aimed at hardware, test and production professionals in both the OEM and CEM sectors. It uses CAD data from design tools, and device models form its embedded library to automatically create a range of test programs for hardware.  JTAG states that ProVision also includes wide-ranging support for in-system programming of devices such as CPLDs, Flash Memories, Serial PROMs, PM bus parts and embedded memory in Micros. In all there are said to be more than 200 enhancements to ProVision 2020 compared to the previous release. In addition, JTAG also offers ATE board testing machines based around boundary scan and bespoke fixing: the company will be displaying a solution based on a test fixture from ECT (pictured).

PCB Live is the UK’s only dedicated event focusing on PCB design, test and manufacture. This one-day opportunity provides senior engineers with a platform to meet and talk with some of the most experienced PCB-related technologists and application experts in the country.
