Error Checking to Avoid Disaster in PCB Design

PCB Live exhibitor Altium has produced a series of White Papers covering many subjects of significant importance to PCB design and manufacturing professionals.

A particularly interesting one is entitled ‘Error checking to avoid disaster’.  With PCB design becoming increasingly complex (and now containing even more rules with regards to electrical requirements and configurations) the PCB Editor in Altium Designer has some ways to verify that designers are following these requirements. However,  should one step outside of them, there is a risk of creating an error. This paper from Altium highlights key tools that will assist designers in keeping track of any potential violations in real time, and help identify where they may have occurred.

Detailed discussion about this and many other aspects of PCB design and manufacture made easier by Altium can be had on the company’s stand at the forthcoming PCB Live event on March 12th. PCB Live is the UK’s only dedicated event focusing on PCB design, test and manufacture.
