Cost Savings Afoot At Make Measurement Matter Event

HP Multi Jet Fusion from Make Measurement Matter exhibitor Europac 3D is solving the challenges of DAFO manufacture with the production child orthoses. The devices are produced in PA11 Nylon, which offers a flexible material, perfect for the movement of little feet. The process starts with a 3D scan of the patients foot which is then converted in a triangulated mesh surface 3D model. The precise geometry capture of the foot is then used as a base from which to design a bespoke orthosis in CAD that will fit the patient perfectly.

Multiple orthoses can be 3D printed on the HP Multi Jet Fusion machine overnight and be ready for fitting within 24 hours. PA11 Nylon also offers another advantage in being a strong, flexible material that moves with patient whilst providing ample support.

The qualities of HP Multi Jet Fusion 3d from Europac 3D allows for the rapid manufacture of many multiples of orthotic devices in just one 10 hour print run at a low manufacturing cost. This equipment, together with much more, can be discussed in detail on the Europac 3D stand at the forthcoming Make Measurement Matter event on March 12th.

Make Measurement Matter is backed by the GTMA and showcases the latest advances in metrology and measurement excellence for manufacturing industry. This one-day opportunity provides senior engineers with a platform to meet and talk with some of the most experienced metrology and measurement technologists and application experts in the country.
